The firm is often called upon by governmental bodies to represent their interests. The United States, through the former Resolution Trust Corporation and the FDIC, has retained the firm to handle litigation, workouts and restructurings arising from failed savings and loan institutions in New York. The firm has acted as counsel to the County of Suffolk, and the Towns of Southampton, Babylon, Hempstead and Huntington. The firm also represents the Villages of Hempstead, Northport, Freeport and Patchogue and the Cities of Long Beach and New Rochelle.
