Mr. Nissan is widely known in the legal community of Nassau and Suffolk Counties, both among attorneys as well as members of the bench in the field of personal injury litigation. His advice and opinion with regard to valuation of cases, trial tactics and various other legal issues is routinely sought by other members of the bar.
Prior to joining Berkman Henoch Mr. Nissan served as Deputy Bureau Chief of the Municipal Law Department of the Suffolk County Attorney’s Office. Before that, he spent over thirty years as the manager of the trial department of a large personal injury plaintiff’s law firm where he supervised up to ten trial lawyers. Mr. Nissan has taken scores of jury verdicts throughout his legal career and has also handled appeals to the Appellate Division as well as the Court of Appeals. His extensive experience on both sides of the fence have proven to be a valuable asset to our firm.
Mr. Nissan has a B.A. from State University of New York at Albany in 1975. He received a J.D., cum laude from Western New England School of Law in 1979
