Bergman Treatise Cited By Appellate Division First Department

The Appellate Division, First Department, in a case noted at 202 A.D.3d 611 (2022), cited as authority for its ruling “Bergman On New York Mortgage Foreclosures” LexisNexis Matthew Bender, on the difficult subject of strict foreclosure and the statute of limitations. Written by firm member Bruce J. Bergman, the four- volume treatise is cited regularly by the courts of New York. Originally published in 1990, two supplements to the volumes have been authored by Mr. Bergman every year since and it remains in print these thirty-two years later widely referred to by bench and bar.
